Technical Sales/Application Engineer
Job Description
Northwest Analytics is searching for a technical sales person to work in a team selling environment along-side Account Managers to develop business within the manufacturing data analytics environment. The target industries include chemical, pharma, and materials. The position is responsible for sales development from pre-sale discovery to implementation. Requirements include systems analysis and design, database design, network communications, and project delivery. Must display mathematical and technical expertise, as well as, the ability to communicate, and think critically. The person must be a highly motivated and organized technical professional with proven skills, who is experienced in database structures, data acquisition, and customer implementations. Most customers tend to be Fortune 500 companies, frequently headquartered in the United States, but may be located throughout the world. The person may be located anywhere in the United States with easy access to an airport. Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required.
Expertise:
- Ability to listen to customer needs and develop solution using appropriate technologies
- Proficient in writing and analyzing queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis, Integration and Reporting Services is a plus
- Provide application data sources analysis.
- Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems
- Proven track record with 5-10 years of experience
- Technically capable for IT, software, and strategic planning discussions
- SPC/Analytics Expertise with Six Sigma certification preferred
- Bachelors or master’s degree in related field required
- Programing Skills, Scripting Skills, Excel Spreadsheets, Statistics\Math, MS SQL Server
- Process manufacturing data experience: SAP, Process Historians, LIMS, OPC
- Quality/Production/Process Improvement
